Nicole By OPI Mer-Maid For Each Other - Review and swatches

Hello lovelies,

Hope you're all well! It's very cold, rainy and windy here in UK but at least it's not snowing... today I have here a Nicole By OPI Mer-Maid For Each Other which is one of the Target exclusives for this Fall. It's available now for $7.04 each at select Target locations nationwide and online at Target.com

Mer-Maid For Each Other - duochrome green shifting to golden-green and blue. I really like duochrome polishes and this one is not an exception. The colour change is bold enough which makes the polish interesting. Application was easy but I did experience streaks. I had to paint carefully to get a reasonably nice finish. The strong streaking ruined the whole experience for me a bit but if you can get over it you'll have a lovely polish. The pigmentation was really good as well, I'm wearing two coats. It dried fast and the removal was easy and I'm not wearing topcoat.

I always use basecoat. I usually use OPI Natural Nail. If I suspect that the polish might stain my nails I use OPI ridge filler base coat. I sometimes use Barielle and other strenghtening basecoats as well to help my nails grow :)

Very pretty. Shame about the streaks. I can't remember, do you typically use a base coat? If so, which one?

So pretty. To bad about the brush strokes. I want to try the method to pat on the last coat with a makeup sponge to elevate the brush strokes but the only thing you have to make sure it's dry before doing it.
