Hello lovelies,
I've got here another nail polish collection, this time it's CND VINYLUX Forbidden Collection. It consists of six mini bottles of nail polish and one mini Weekly Top Coat. The collection is packed neatly in a cardboard box and plastic insert...
About: “The new fall collection was inspired by CND’s top seasonal nail trend – Forbidden, a dark, dangerous, edgy look that encourages women to embrace their inner femme fatal,” says CND co-founder Jan Arnold. “Featured during our Fall/Winter Fashion Week designer collaborations in New York and London, the new colors and CND Additives inspire Nail Professionals and women around the world to bring runway to realway.”
So let's have a look at the individual shades:
Steel Gaze - olive green sparkly base with gold and silver glimmer. Steel Gaze has an easy-flowing formula but it's quite sheer. I have applied three coats and one coat over black on the ring finger. you can see that there is a slight difference in the colour.
Night Glimmer - greenish brown base with silver particles. I must say I'm not a big fan of this colour, it's that strange brownish shade that is quite hard to describe. The formula of the polish was quite thick yet still manageable. I've applied two coats for full coverage and the CND Weekly Top Coat.
Blue Rapture - blue-grey creme. This blue is very unusual and I like it! The formula was great and very easy to work with and two coats provided full coverage. I've applied the CND Weekly Top Coat.
Burnt Romance - burnt orange brown creme. Burnt Romance is another quite unusual shade. It is clearly brown but it has strong orange undertones. It applied well and the formula wasn't thick but the pigmentation was a bit lower. I needed two thicker coats and topcoat for perfect finish.
Tinted Love - red-based purple creme. Gorgeous berry purple, one of my favourites. The formula was almost perfect with good pigmentation and easy application. I've applied two coats and topcoat again.
Dark Dahlia - blackberry creme. I know Dark Dahlia looks like black but it is a very dark blackberry purple and I love it so much! All I needed were two coats for perfect coverage. It applied well and dried fast. I've done a lace nail art with this shade, check it out here.
Another lovely Fall collection on the market that made me go 'aaaah' :) All these shades are also available in Shelac in case you're interested. My absolute favourites are Tinted Love and Dark Dahlia.
The polish and topcoat come in mini bottles of .125 fl oz / 3.7 ml size. You can purchase this collection directly from CND but you need to have a pro account. If you don't, you can get it from Amazon.
