Review: Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Hand Cream & The Weekender Set
*PR samples
Hello lovelies,
I haven't done a hand care product review for a while so I'll tell you about Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Hand Cream which I've been testing for a while.
"This deeply nourishing, non-greasy hand cream contains sea daffodil to help reduce the appearance of blemishes such as age spots and essential omega 6 to soften hands and support the skin’s natural ability to regenerate. Uplifting oils of rose and geranium are combined with passion flower to soothe dry skin and keep your hands smooth and hydrated."
My first impressions of the hand cream were mainly positive - the cream feels lightweight yet very nourishing, easy to spread but I personally am not fan of rose scented products (which I realise is very subjective). So if you like rose scents you'll absolutely love this hand cream! I have been testing it cream for a while and I can tell you that I definitely could feel the difference between cheaper hand cream and
. This hand cream feels luxurious and my hands felt really smooth and not greasy afterwards. If not for the scent I would comfortably call it the best hand cream I've tried so far.
The hand cream comes in burgundy box with gold logo which is a very nice touch and a white tub which holds generous 75ml. It retails for £23 and is available at their website, at Aromatherapy Associates Boutique & Treatment Rooms (5 Montpelier Street, London SW7 1EX) and at the spas and hotels carrying this brand.
I've also received The Weekender beauty bag to try so I'll share it with you too. It is a nice set of products for a weekend out, particularly if your weekend will involve sport. Here's how the bag and products in it look:
This set of travel-sized products contains:
De-Stress Muscle Gel
- "Experience the warming and easing powers of rosemary, black pepper, lavender and ginger to de-stress your body after spending too long in one position or after too much physical activity. Apply generously and massage into overworked joints and muscles as often as necessary." - The gel was very effective for my tense neck and shoulder muscles and I liked the formula too. It was easy spread and massage in and it wasn't sticky like some other gels.
Renewing Rose Body Cream (40 ml) - "Experience the deeply moisturising and conditioning powers of rose, geranium, shea butter and evening primrose for a rich and luxurious daily treat." - The rose scent is not that strong with this cream so I was quite comfortable with it. The cream is nice and absorbed fast and my skin felt nicely moisturised.
Renewing Rose Body Wash
- "Experience the hydrating and uplifting powers of rose, geranium and camomile to leave your skin gently cleansed and beautifully fragranced." - I found the body wash scent quite calming thanks to the camomile so it's perfect for evening showers. It was nice to use the formula wasn't drying to my skin like most products.
Revive Body Gel
- "Experience the refreshing and invigorating powers of grapefruit, rosemary and juniper to even-out skin tone and texture and to maintain a healthy micro-circulation. Massage into your skin each day, focusing on areas of concern, like hips, thighs, stomach, ankles and feet." - This gel is like a kick of freshness, indeed very invigorating! I haven't been using long enough to judge the toning properties but it left my skin feeling refreshed and nice. It also didn't leave a sticky residue.
All these product come in a cosmetic bag with "bright, exotic, vibrant, limited design that is inspired by the essence of essential oils in the Revive collection, capturing the positive ambiance that is influenced by ingredients such as pink grapefruit, juniper berry and geranium." The cosmetic bag has the following dimensions:
