Zoya Tickled Collection - Review & Swatches
*PR samples
Hello lovelies,
It took a little while for the new Zoya collection for the Summer 2014 to get to me so I'm a bit late with the swatches (as always lol). Today I'll be reviewing first half of the collection - Tickled. It consists of six creme shades in bright, summery colours.
Wendy - pink coral creme. Wendy is a nice pink-based coral which I think will flatter most skin tones. The formula was a bit on the sheer side so I applied two thick coats. It was quite patchy in the first coat but the second coat evened it out.
Rooney - medium pink creme with fuchsia undertones. Rooney is quite cold shade despite it being pink. It applied nicely, formula was good and opaque in two coats.
Kirtridge - light candy pink creme. This is such a 'Barbie' colour! The formula was let's say...difficult. It was quite sheer so I had to apply three thicker coats and I've experienced patching as well.
Rocha - red orange creme. Rocha is such a fun, bright colour! The formula was really good and easy to apply. I needed just two regular coats for full coverage. It dried fast and glossy.
Tilda - fresh green creme. Tilda is like a fresh, spring grass, very nice and vibrant. The formula was good to apply but a bit sheerer so I applied two thick coats. That caused the drying time to be a bit longer.
Ling - sky blue creme. Another gorgeous and vibrant colour that will be great for nail art. It applied well and two regular coats were opaque enough, it dried fast and glossy.
The collection has some very nice shades but I personally could do without so many pinks/corals. Ling and Rocha are my favourite for their vibrant colour and great pigmentation. I must admit I was a bit disappointed that some of the shades were not as well pigmented as I'm used to with Zoya and to need two thick coats or three coats is just not to my liking. But still a good quality polish compared to some others.
Zoya polishes are available at zoya.com (US) and at tnbl.co.uk (UK)
Have a lovely day! Lucie x
