Guest Post: Love. Varnish, chocolate and more... at Lucy's Stash!

Hello lovelies,

Please give a warm welcome to Deborah from Love. Varnish, chocolate and more... blog! I've been following Deborah's work for years now because (she started blogging in the same year as me) and always enjoy her immaculate swatches and many indie brands she features. Today she has prepared a cool stamped manicure...

Hi everyone! My name is Deborah and I am one of the 2 bloggers from the nail polish blog Love. Varnish, chocolate and more... When Lucie asked for guest bloggers, I immediately jumped at the chance - she is one of my favorite bloggers so I am very proud and honored to be posting here today. Since she always does such nice nail art, I decided to create some of my own to share with you.

My look is created with stamping - I started with a nice and neutral base. The polish is from the Dance Legend Gel-Effect range and goes by number 1031. I cleaned up a bit and while it dried, I used the Dance Legend Pure Manicure cuticle protector. It's one of those latex barriers that you brush on and let dry. When you stamp your nails, you simply peel away the barrier when you are done and there isn't such a mess on your fingers!

I stamped using a plate from MoYou London, it's from the Hipster collection (plate 07). Isn't this cube design amazing? The stamping polish is a sample formula so I can't really tell anything about that, but I thought the shade of blue would look great against the pale creme base. It also picked up very nicely, without gaps or air bubbles.

To finish it off I used some topcoat and the result is this kinda retro looking stampicure! I hope you enjoy this look and maybe see you on my own blog sometime.

Thank you Deborah for this lovely post! It is indeed very retro-looking and I simply must get that stamping plate. You can follow Deborah's work at:
