Earlier, I have shared with some of you that I have been lately in a creative slump. I haven't felt inspired, I didn't feel like doing any nail art not even anything overly festive. Few days ago it changed - I got contacted by minted.com inviting me to check out their site. I've noticed they have an art marketplace section with different art prints. I came across so many inspiring artworks and I finally felt that familiar urge to paint! Today's nails are inspired by a Dazzle Berry Art print. I didn't copy it exactly, but I took the idea and modified it for nails. I also wanted to use more natural colours even though I absolutely love the colours the artist used.

I've taken pictures to create a tutorial for you as well. Here's how to do it:

1. Apply base coat
2. Apply two coats of white nail polish. I have used OPI Alpine Snow
3. Paint the nails with a thin coat of white acrylic paint
4. Thin down red acrylic paint with water and put droplets on the nail using brush. Pat the brush on a paper towel to get rid of the excess water in the brush
5. Use the brush to soak in the droplets on the nails. It should leave coloured outline or dots depending on how long you wait. you don't have to wait longer than few seconds
6. Continue adding these 'watercolour style' dots
7. Thin down darker shade of red acrylic paint with water and put droplets on the nail where the lighter drops are. Try to overlap them or do imperfect dots so they add dimension and shading
8. Using brown acrylic paint and brush, roughly paint branches
9. Thin down white acrylic paint with water and add highlight to the branches. Do it the same way as the dots - paint it on watery and then soak in the excess water
10. Using black acrylic paint and thin detailing brush, outline the branches and add few more black lines to add dimension
11. Use the watered down dark red acrylic paint and thin detailing brush and connect the berries to the branches. Paint few empty stems without berries
12. Topcoat the nails. I have used OPI Matte Topcoat but if you want the artwork to last the longest possible time then use regular topcoat first and then matte topcoat

I can't wait to recreate more artworks from that site, there are so many beautiful pieces! I've spent hours at their site just browsing and THEN I've noticed they do wedding stationery too! Oh my goodness I've seen so many beautiful designs and have spent couple more hours browsing them. What a wonderful site! I don't know about you but I feel kind of sad that the Christmas is over. The months of build-up and expectations just for those few days and now it's over again. Well at least I did some shopping in post-Christmas sales! I got lots of clothes, some Christmas bits for next year and a new curling wand for hair styling. I didn't get any polishes because I still have plenty of untrieds to play with but I got some stamping plates and nail art bits.

Today I have some more All That Jazz polishes to show you :) This is Spotlight Affair collection released for Autumn 2014 and it consists of four creme shades in beautiful Autumnal colours. As always, gorgeous Jazz Smedley is the face of the collection - it's her brand after all.

"Emerge from the darkness and let all eyes be on you with this new deliciously dark collection from All That Jazz. Tiptoeing from a sophisticated grey, all the way to a diva-esque berry there's a shade to make every star performer standout. Don't be an understudy...take centre stage!"

All Eyes On Me is a dark raspberry creme. It's my kind of colour - berry, dark and feminine. The formula was really well pigmented and it was almost fully opaque in one coat. I ended up applying two coats and topcoat. It applied well but the polish dried very fast so i had to work fast to avoid patching. 

Be Fierce is a blue-based dark purple creme. It has a vampy vibe and glossy finish, perfect for the upcoming New Year's party. Just add a bit of gold and your nails will be perfect! The formula was same as in All Eyes On Me - smooth to apply but fast drying so work fast. It dried glossy and smooth. I applied two coats and topcoat. 

Own It is a green-blue creme with gold sparkles. The gold sparkles are quite subtle and sparse. Own It is a very dark shade which will be cool not only for Autumn but also for the Winter season. Two coats were fully opaque and the polish was almost one coater. It applied nicely and dried fast. I didn't applied topcoat because the gold particles create a slightly uneven finish and I wanted you to see how it looks. Once topcoat is applied the finish is smooth.

I Get What I Want is a pewter grey with purple undertones and iridescent blue and magenta flecks. This is probably the most interesting colour from this collection as it's really chic and quite unusual. I've had no problems with the formula, it applied well and dried fast. I'm wearing two coats and topcoat. 

This is the first All That Jazz collection I've had the pleasure of reviewing and I am not disappointed. All polishes are beautiful with good formulas and you can expect to see them in some nail art designs soon ;) My favourites are I Get What I Want and All Eyes On Me. I've also used All That Jazz Base Line base coat and Top Note top coat with the swatches (both available here).
