Hello lovelies,

Something interesting came to my attention and that is project 1:Face. 1:Face is a brand of watch that is tied to many charitable projects:

"1:Face supports nine causes; cancer, hunger, breast cancer, clean water, disaster relief, environment, AIDS, education, and animal rights, and have partnered with different charities to bring global change. Each cause has a specific metric that tells you exactly what your purchase does. From building wells to providing a year of education, 1:Face is committed to bringing about change, worldwide."

Before I got contacted by people from 1:Face, I've never heard of this brand and what it does so once I learned more about I was more than happy to write a review and spread the word. I chose black watch which represents cancer. With purchase of this watch, 8 cancer patients get support. I chose cancer because it has affected my family and it's so widespread that it definitely needs as much attention as possible.

The watch arrived in a plastic box with paper inserts corresponding with the charity project the colour of the watch represents. The watch has a large, mirror-like clock face with a small 1:Face logo in the bottom right corner. The wrist band is made of matte rubbery material so it's not slippery and the watch is water resistant as well. The watch has super shiny and mirror face at most times and the time can be viewed by pressing a button on the side of the watch.

The last photo was kind of an accident when the camera focused on the reflection on the watch but I love the resulting picture so much I wanted to share it with you! Also just in case you're wondering - I will do a separate post about the nail art I'm wearing. The two rings on my right hand are from Astrid & Miyu.

As you can see my hands are quite thin so having such large watch was very unusual for me. I can however imagine it paired up with sportswear or some other casual wear. It's very modern and trendy unisex watch and the fact that it supports a charitable cause makes it even better. At $40 each you really can't go wrong - you get a cool watch and help make the world a better place.

1:Face watches are available at www.1face.com and there are 9 colours/styles available, supporting the 9 selected causes. Newly there is also a $99 Touchscreen 1:Face watch that supports all causes. The watch is constructed with the iPhone alloy metal frame attached to a polycarbonate silicon band and is 5ATM waterproof.

I'm glad to have had the chance to raise awareness of this brand and I truly hope you will now go, visit their site and at least read a bit more about what they do and why.

Have a lovely day! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

So as you know, me, Alice and Sammy have attended the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2014 evening where all the winners were announced. Unfortunately none of us nail bloggers have won but we still had a great evening.

We all arrived to our shared hotel room, got ready and the evening began...

Our first stop was a nearby Nando's restaurant where we had a dinner before moving one to the OXO Tower where the event was held.

The event itself was grand! It was bigger than last year thanks to having the ceremony and podium in the room next door. Last year it was in the main room and it was just crowded. There was plenty to do - you could have your hair done, try some gold & silver tattoos or nail stickers and wraps, have some false lashes applied, have your makeup done or create your own cupcake! There was food and plenty of drinks too!

...and of course we couldn't leave out some selfies!

We all left with a goody bag full of different products, some of them I'll be very excited to try! The middle picture is from King's Cross station where they've installed this huge poppy in support of the Remembrance Day. And then it was time to catch my train and go home.

It was a great night and I'm so glad I got to catch up with girls again! But I also need to thank all of you for your support because without it I wouldn't have been there.

Some of the photos are from Sammy as well :)

Have a lovely weekend! Lucie x
