Hello lovelies,
SURPRISE!!! Models Own is releasing another colourful collection called Disco Pants! There are five new shades with different finishes and all of them in groovy disco colours.
"Guaranteed to get the party started, Models own launches new DISCO PANTS collection just in time for Christmas. Adding some sparkle and taking over the dance floor, these five new fashion-forward nail polishes are fun, flirty and fabulous. The creamy pearlescent formula glides onto nails for a long-lasting, vibrant shimmer with a high-shine metallic finish - replicating the satin finish of Disco Pants! Formulated with ultra-fine, colour matched glitter; the finish is flawless and smooth.
Inspired by famous New York nightclubs, DISCO PANTS delivers all the glitz and glam of the eighties. Available in five brilliantly bejewelled shades."
Paradise Garage - light emerald green shimmer. The finish is also a bit metallic and it looks very beautiful. The formula was very nice to apply and was well-pigmented. Two thin coats were fully opaque and dried smooth. The finish was a little bit streaky so I had to pay attention to brush strokes.
Copacabana - metallic silver gold shimmer. This shade is between gold and silver so it's almost impossible for me to describe. The formula was good to apply but also fast-drying so I had to work fast to avoid patching. The pigmentation is very good so two coats were fully opaque. The finish is quite streaky so I had to pay a lot of attention to brush strokes.
Studio 54 - hot pink shimmer. I think this colour must be a staple item of any disco diva! So bright and vivid your nails will not be overlooked! It applied well and was opaque in two coats. The streaking was not very strong but I still had to pay attention to brush strokes.
Roxy - amethyst purple full of sparkly flecks. Roxy is gorgeous cool-toned purple that sparkles in the light. The formula was easy to apply but slightly less pigmented. I'm wearing two thicker coats but you could use three thin coats too. It dried fast and smooth.
Sound Factory - electric blue base with sparkly flecks. How could a vibrant electric blue not be in this collection!? It's a gorgeous shade but unfortunately the formula wasn't as great. It applied well but I needed two thick coats for full coverage (3 thin coats would do too) and it stained my nails :( I managed to get rid of the staining with whitening toothpaste and nail brush but it's a very unfortunate feature of this polish.
This is very unexpected collection and it certainly brings some colour and fun into all those autumn and winter collections. My top picks are Paradise Garage, Studio 54 and Roxy. I was born in the 80's but I certainly wasn't old enough to experience the disco craze. Sometimes I regret it, it must have been so much fun!
