Hello lovelies,

It is my pleasure to have a truly amazing nail artist here today - Lexa aka Glitterfingersss! I've been following her work for a long time and I'm always amazed at her nail art ideas and of course skills! Lexa is a super talented nail artist and swatcher with just about the perfect nails. I suspect you all already know her ;)

Hello everyone! My name is Lexa, I'm behind the blog called Glitterfingersss. Lucie was kind enough to ask me to guest posting on her beautiful blog, and I feel so honored to be here, thank you so much Lucie for this great opportunity! Lucie was one of the first nail girls that I started to follow back in 2011 when I discovered this whole amazing world of nail polish and nail art. I'm hooked ever since, and today I will share my passion with you!

I do a lot of swatching, but my real obsession is nail art, the freehand kind ;) Although I really like minimalistic nail art, I always find myself creating detailed patterns, those are the ones that make me really excited. I thought I will paint something really summery for today, and when it comes to summery patterns, all I can think of is tropical. To be honest, I could paint tropical all year long :D

For the flamingo pattern I was inspired by NataliaKo on shutterstock.com. I used 2 coats of Essence Wild White Ways as my white base, then I painted on the wavy pattern with acrylic paint. I'm not good at painting waves, so as you can see they are a bit wonky :D, but the overall look is all right I guess. After the waves I painted on the tiny flamingos too, also with acrylic paint. As my accent nail I've chosen a coraly red nail polish that matches to the color of the flamingos: Seche Coral. Then I painted on the palm leaves with acrylic paint. I've finished off with Essie Matte About You matte topcoat.

I've prepared a favourite of mine for you all today: color block nails.

Color block nail art is simple to do and always so striking to wear, don't you think?

At the end, you can freehand the sharp lines that divide each color or use some stripping tape instead. I did the latter.

I love how these turned out and I hope you all do, too. It's been a pleasure to be your guest, Lucie, thank you so much for the invitation, dear. For the rest of you lovely people, if you're into bold and colourful nails, stop by the blog anytime and say 'hi!' :)

Hugs & Kissies,
