Hello lovelies,
I've got another post for the ABC Challenge (yes, I know I've been slacking!) where I'll be exploring the uses of coloured cellophane. It won't be the pretty pearlescent cellophane used for shattered glass nails but equally cool metallic gold one! I've cut out half moons and stuck them on the nails, creating a very chic look.
First up is a load of photos because I just couldn't narrow them down much more, I love photos with flowers! :D
I started with two coats of Models Own GlitterGel Petunia Glitz (for some reason this colour was part of last year's holiday collection) and one coat of topcoat to smooth out the surface. Then I've applied a nail foil glue to where I wanted my gold half-moons to be. You could also use topcoat or clear polish. Then I applied the gold foil pieces and sealed with another coat of topcoat.
It took me ages to cut the gold half-moon shapes so that they would fit my nail beds well. Thinking about it now, I would probably take a bit of translucent plastic, draw the shape of the half-moon following my nail bed and then use it as a template.
I hope you've enjoyed today's post and are perhaps thinking of joining the ABC Challenge. You can read everything about the challenge in this post from Emily from Nail Polish Society, who is hosting it :)
Have a lovely day! Lucie x
