Hello lovelies,

I don't know if you've noticed but Illamasqua put together a collection/set of products for this year's Valentine's Day. It's called I'm The One and the set contains nail polish in Throb, lipstick in Maneater, lip colouring pencil in Feisty and intense lip gloss in Touch. All products are, of course, red to transform you to a sexy vamp ;)

I'll be reviewing the nail polish in Throb...

Throb is not a completely new shade; it has been introduced in 2011 as a part of the Throb collection. The shade itself is perfect cherry red creme with cool undertones. It applied like butter - so smoothly and easily that I wish all polishes would be like this. Also the pigmentation was excellent and most of you will need just one coat if you have shorter nails but I applied two. The drying time was good and fast but I did apply fast-drying topcoat (HK Girl topcoat).

You guys know I love reds so this was like heaven to me. If you own just one red this would be a great choice mainly because of the flawless formula. Here are some beautiful promo pictures from I'm The One collection:

If you'd like to get your mitts on this beautiful polish or any other Illamasqua products you can visit their website (UK) or Sephora (US).

PS. Expect some Valentine's Day nail art with Throb soon ;)

Hello lovelies,

I'm excited to tell you about a new nail project I'm part of - Nailvengers Assemble! Just to tell you a bit more about it...it's five girls doing one theme at the end of each month. This month the theme is New Year, New Technique which is quite self-explanatory. Each of us will do a new technique to us. For me it's stamping decals which I'm a newbie to.

Joining me in the challenge will be Sammy (The Nailasaurus), Alice (One Nail To Rule Them All), Allie (Brit Nails) and Amelia (xAmeliax)....pretty damn good girls!

So here's the stamping decals manicure I've created:

Nailvengers Assemble! - New Year, New Technique
Nailvengers Assemble! - New Year, New Technique
Nailvengers Assemble! - New Year, New Technique
Nailvengers Assemble! - New Year, New Technique

For this design I have used A England polishes Encore Margot, Camelot and Guinevere and Seche Vite topcoat but it is better if you use thinner and not fast drying topcoat as those won't be as stiff. I've learned this information after I created this mani and tutorials so that's why I'm using Seche Vite. The stamping plate I've used is MoYou London Sailor Collection 05 (XL).

Now there are different methods of creating and applying stamping decals and I guess you'll just have to find the one that suits you best. I have prepared video tutorial for three methods so hope it will help you master the decals!

I've chosen a subtle colour scheme but with the stamping decals technique you can go as wild colour-wise as you want and even every single part of the design can be in different shade. How awesome would that be!?!

So that's all to it. If you recreate any of our manicures then please use #nailvengers, we would love to see it! You can also follow us on Facebook:

I hope you've enjoyed the manicure and tutorials and please check out the other blog entries from girls:
