Hello lovelies,

Today's guest post is from Jenny aka Lavish Layerings! Jenny is a US-based blogger and she has prepared a multichrome design because she know I love multichrome polishes! So give her a warm welcome :)

Hi everyone! I'm Jenny from Lavish Layerings (or @bostonmerlin10 on Instagram) and I'm so honored to be posting over at Lucy's Stash today! I have long admired Lucie's immense nail art talent and I'm constantly in awe of the designs she is able to achieve. Some of my favorite designs of hers are her dotted looks and one-stroke flowers, neither of which I have a particular talent for creating so I decided to leave those to her expertise. Lucie is also a master swatcher and some of my favorite swatches of her are of duochromes and multichromes. She shows all aspects of them so well in her photos and has enticed me to buy more than a few of them. She does fabulous nail art looks with them as well, so I thought she might appreciate some multichrome nail art, so that is what I'm going to share with you today!

I am a multichrome lover and have been since I first got into polish. One of my favorite things to do with multichromes now is to do stamping looks with them. Since it's summer, I wanted to do something that seemed a bit summery, but wasn't an obvious summer theme. I was inspired by the gorgeous tropical leaf designs on the MoYou-London Tropical plate 11. I decided to use multichromes that shifted to all sorts of leafy, natural colors for my design so I used Dance Legend Wazowski, Boo, and Roz as well as ILNP Nostalgia so that I would have of greens, reds, and rusty colors throughout my design. The polishes all stamp fantastically well over black, so I really encourage you to try it out if you have them.

I started off with a base of KBShimmer Eclipse, which is my favorite black creme. After that dried, I dabbed the multichromes randomly around on my plate before scraping to give my designs a varied look. I'm totally in love with how this mani turned out! The designs on the plate are so cohesive and give a great overall look. I also love how the multichromes blended for the beautiful array of colors, which are even more gorgeous in person.

It's one of my favorite dusty light blues. I love everything about YSL nail polishes. The brush is wide, the formula is liquid and goes on well. Two coats are enough to reach full opacity, but the coats are so thin that you can definitely go for a third coat to get an even more vibrant color!

For the nail-art I went with my favorite technique : stamping. I love that you can get intricate nail designs in seconds using stamping plates. So I looked for a mandala lace kind of design. I ended up chosing a design that is on the Born Pretty Store BP-L008 stamping plate. It's the one in the right upper corner.

I stamped it using my favorite white, the special stamping white by El Corazon that you can find at Hypnotic Polish. It's opaque and doesn't wash out or smear when you apply your top coat. I then finished with my favorite fast drying top coat : Sèche Vite.

I really love how this mani looks. It's soft and delicate, don't you think ? Plus it's very simple to do, and that's the kind of mani I like to do for work or when I don't have much time to do my nails :)

Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my guest post ! Thank you again Lucie for letting me take your place on your blog today ! Feel free to check out and follow my Facebook and Instagram pages if you want to see more of my manis!
