Hello lovelies,

Hope you've all had a nice weekend! Today I want to show you a manicure that is quite old - I did it back in September 2014 for the Olympia Beauty exhibition in London and never shared it with you. It was an attempt at watercolour-style flowers inspired by Neiru founder Jasmine Oshima. Jasmine has used gel and watercolours if I remember correctly but I've had to improvise and have used nail polish and watered down acrylic paint. I've painted my nails with two coats of white nail polish (Zoya Purity) and then created the watercolour flowers. There's not really much more to say so here are the photos...

Hello lovelies,

By now you probably have seen the new Barry M Sunset polishes swatched and reviewed on many other blogs so I want to show you the colours in nail art. For today's manicure I have picked Barry M You Drive Me Navy and The Way You Make Me Teal and combined them into a vertical gradient. That would never be enough for me so I've stamped a floral filigree design using Barry M Gold Foil, Creative Stamper and Pueen Lace Blossom stamping plate.

In this second part of the post I want to take a closer look at the Pueen Lace Blossom stamping plate. It is the second big plate that Pueen has released (the first one was the Fireworks Festival) and it's full of florals, lace but also some geometric patterns and for some reason, a Christmas tree(!). There are so many patterns that I adore, especially the florals and lace and the places where flowers meet the geometric patterns! The plate is well made and I've tested almost every inch of it and all patterns worked well and are nicely etched. The only place that I had to try stamp twice was a delicate lace but in the end it worked fine. The first thing I always do with new plates is to remove the (blue) protective foil. Never forget to remove it otherwise your plate won't work.

"This plate measures 7"x9.5" (18x24cm) with sanded edges and backing for easy, comfortable handling and a protective nylon screen. This image plate is made from high grade stainless steel and backing to prevent scratching during storage."

Another great plate from Pueen that I will enjoy using in the future :) It is currently available on their website for $18.99.

If you'd like to see another Barry M Sunset shade swatched and in nail art, check out this post.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and let me know your thoughts in the comments! Have a lovely day. Lucie x
