Hello lovelies,

I know it's Remembrance Day and I should be doing a manicure with poppies but unfortunately I planned badly and didn't do one. I'll at least show you a manicure with a polish called Poppy ;)

So today I'm doing Glittered Half Moon Nail Art using two new shades from Barry M Silk Collection - Poppy and Forest. This really is not a unique design and has been done many times but I quite like it and I think these two colours are so different that they look good together.

Both polishes have satin finish so I tried to keep it that way by not applying topcoat. I would have to apply topcoat if I was to wear it for more than a day. I've also used silver holographic hexagon glitter, orange wood stick and a bit of topcoat to stick the glitter to. The Barry M Silk collection is available at their website.

Have you tried glittered half-moon design? Share it with me in the comments or by #lucysstash! I'd love to see your manicures!

Have a great day everyone and stay polished! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

I've decided to post another pink manicure to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For this simple look I've used Illamasqua Pink Raindrops and Swarovski Crystals from Stephen Arnold e-shop.* I've used topcoat and orange wood stick to put the crystals on the nails and I've arranged them in half-circular pattern (half-moon).

When I was done wearing the nail design I wanted to keep the crystals. By not using a nail glue I could remove them and clean them with acetone and subsequently re-use them for another manicure. I wouldn't recommend doing that with the 'cheapo' plastic rhinestones :)

I really liked this look, probably because I have wedding thoughts in my head and these would look very pretty as wedding nails :p

Here's an official guide on how to use these Swarovski crystals in nail art. I've enjoyed using them because they are just so much prettier than the plastic rhinestones and you can expect another design soon!
