Hello lovelies,
I can't believe it's the last day of this year's Nail Art Fashion, it went so fast! Today we are recreating nails seen on the catwalks during the Fashion Weeks. I couldn't decide between two looks so I did them both! They are both very simple to do :)
First up is the nail art that graced Zero + Maria Cornejo fashion show. All models wore white eyeshadow with brushstroke-like texture and the same was replicated on nails. Let's have a look:
I love the simplicity of the nail design and I kind of with my nails would look nice shorter so I could make the nail art look even better. I like the negative space combined with white a lot but this definitely looks better on short nails.
All I've used was base and top coat and Colour Club French Tip, a bright white creme polish that has an exceptional coverage (use STASH15 for 15% discount). First I painted the tip of the nail and then using the dry brush technique I created brush strokes and ragged edge to mimic the original catwalk look.
LOOK 2
This second look combines matte and glossy finish in dark berry shades and comes from Wes Gordon NYFW show. I like the distressed edge and the gothy look, it will be so cool for A/W season!
I've used All That Jazz products for this look. I've started with a coat of Base Line base coat, then painted two coats of Burlesque Beauty (berry red). Once that dried a little I've applied one coat of their matte top coat Toned Down. Next step was to add the glossy art so I've used Lounge Act (dark plum purple) and the brush in the polish. First, I painted solid colour by the cuticle area, then I brushed off most polish from the brush just like with dry brush technique and added some brush strokes to mimic the catwalk look.
And that's all done! Because I've not used any additional top coat, this manicure wouldn't last very long. If you are recreating this look and would like to wear it for few days then add a layer of topcoat just before painting the matte top coat.
Which of these two manicures is your favourite?
