Hello lovelies,

Today I have six Glam polish shades that are part of the new Cast a Spell Part II: The Magic is Back! collection. As you probably know, Glam Polish is an Australian indie brand. This new collection consists of 'Nine new magical glitter/holo shades, the collection includes two special shades perfect for Halloween, Elixir and Warlock. (All shades dry slightly textured and require top coat for a glossy finish).'

They are all dark Autumn/Winter shades and all have holographic glitter and particles in them:

Warlock - rusty orange brown base packed with holo dust and copper holo glitter. Warlock is the colour of Autumn leaves :) With the amount of glitter and other particles I expected thick and gloopy formula but luckily that wasn't a case. Warlock applied easily and two thicker coats were fully opaque. It dried fast but a bit textured so I'm wearing a coat of Seche Vite topcoat over it. Also previously featured here.

Banished - deep red-based purple base full of holo dust and dark red holo glitter. WOW! This is my absolute favourite Banished is absolutely stunning! Its rich colour is chic and will be great for whole A/W season. I'm wearing two coats and topcoat and it applied without any troubles. Can't recommend enough!

Wicca - dark grape purple base full of holo dust and purple holo glitter. Wicca is blue-toned cousin of Banished. It also has good to apply formula and is opaque in two thicker coats. I'm wearing topcoat over it.

Cauldron - deep teal blue base full of holo dust and teal holo glitter. Ok, this is another stunner! I was afraid my nails would get stained but they didn't - major plus! I've applied two thicker coats and topcoat and didn't have any troubles with the application. Cauldron also dries a bit gritty but the topcoat helped with sorting it out.

Elixir - leaf green base full of holo dust and green holo glitter. It's a pretty rich green colour that to me symbolises more the end of summer than autumn but it complements the rest of the shades nicely. All I needed were two thicker coats and topcoat. It applied well and dried fast.

Pentacle - charcoal grey with purple undertones packed with holo particles and grey holo glitter. True winter shade - it's cold, dark and sparkly! I've applied two thicker coats as with the rest of the shades and had no problems with it. I've also applied topcoat to smooth out the surface.

So just to sum up, all of these had good formula opaque in two thicker coats but they need one or two coats of topcoat for completely smooth surface. They are all super sparkly and colourful thanks to the holographic additions. My absolute favourites are Banished and Cauldron.

This Glam Polish collection is available for pre-order from September 17th from www.glampolish.com.au with shipping to Australia & USA shipping rates to USA are $7.95 for the first polish and an extra $1.00 for each addition polish.

So what do you think about Autumn colours and holo? Which one is YOUR favourite?

Have a lovely day! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

I'm stamping again! This time I'm doing aztec print nail art that combines stamping, freehand painting and rhinestones. I call it stamp-paint method. It is basically using a stamped design as a guide, or complimentary design to freehand painting. It's meant to be different than the lead-lighting technique where you colour in empty parts of stamped design.

Let's have a look at what exactly I mean...

I started with painting two coats of SpaRitual Oracle. Then I stamped the aztec print using white nail polish and MoYou London stamping plate PRO XL collection 03. The next step was to paint yellow and blue patterns using acrylic paint. Lastly, I topcoated the nails and added rhinestones.

What do you think of this technique of freehand painting into stamping? I quite like the result :) It is a bit more difficult than creating stamping decals by filling in colours or the lead-lighting technique but it is also more versatile. If you try this technique then please tag me and let me know how you got on, I'd love to see your creation!

Have a lovely day! Lucie x
