Hello lovelies,
Today is the Day 4 of the Nail Art Fashion Week and we take inspiration from fashion trends. There have been lots of plaids and patterned pieces among the Fashion Week collections but I came across a dress that perfectly demonstrated a single awesome trend - the colour-blocking! I knew instantly that I want to recreate it on my nails.
The dress I chose is from Hiromichi Nakano and it was inspired by the 60's, the era of Twiggy :) Hiromichi Nakano introduced this collection at the Tokyo Fashion Week. You can read more about it here.
So that's my nails and the inspiration. They remind me of candies for some reason and I like how bright they looked on me.
This was a very simple design to do. I've started to paint sections with two coat of each colour - Models Own Banana Split, Models Own Paradise Pink and Zoya Lillian. I've used either the nail polish brush or smaller nail art brush. Then I've painted the black lines with Color Club Black striper polish (use STASH15 for 15% discount). Finally, I've sealed the design with Seche Vite topcoat and later added a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat.
Here's how the manicure looks glossy ;)
Which is it this time? Matte or glossy? I still prefer the matte version, it's so much more unique. Here you can check my previous NAFW manicures:
Don't forget to check out manicures from all the other co-hosts: Maria from So Nailicious, Victoria from
