Hello lovelies,

I have been testing the new Bliss Kiss Simply Peel Latex Barrier* for a while and today I'd like to share it with you. Simply Peel is a transparent liquid latex with added glitter for extra sparkle and visibility. This product has been designed for multiple uses:

  1. As a tool for simple clean up after nail art, stamping, watermarblig etc.
  2. As a protection of skin while doing cuticle removal
  3. As a short term peel off base coat (very handy for glitter swatches)

I have tested Simply Peel for all of the above and it worked well in all cases. The only thing I would want to warn you about is not to use it as a peel off base coat for polishes that aren't glitters or textured polishes. Why? Well the glitter makes slightly bumpy finish so if you use creme, shimmer, metallic and other smooth polishes over it you might still have little bumps from the glitter. Otherwise it works nicely and peels off in one piece. You can buy Simply Peel, Bliss Kiss Simply Pure nail oil (my favourite) and other fab Bliss Kiss products HERE.

The sun has been coming out some days which inspired me to pull out my drawer with holographic polishes. I have decided to create this patterned stamped manicure. I have used:

Cuccio Costa Rican Sunset

Cuccio Base Coat
HK Girl Top Coat Colour Club Beyond
Bliss Kiss Simply Peel Latex barrier
Uber Chic stamping plate 1-03
Creative Stamper

And here's a tutorial for this holo stamped manicure with use of Simply Peel:

As a base colour I have used Cuccio Costa Rican Sunset. This was the first time I've ever tried Cuccio brand and their polish and I was so impressed I want to dedicate it a part of this post. I talked to a Cuccio representative at the Pro Beauty exhibition in London in February and she kindly gave me a goodie bag to try some Cuccio products. There was no obligation to review or feature but my great experience definitely warrants one. Cuccio is aprofessional brand used in many spas and reputable salons and you should be able to buy their products through one of them. Unfortunately unless you are a beauty professional you can't buy directly from them (as far as I'm aware).

Cuccio Costa Rican Sunset is a bright raspberry creme shade with really good formula. It applied beautifully and the pigmentation was excellent as well. Two thin coats were fully opaque and smooth. It also dried fast and glossy. If I buy/try a professional product I expect a great quality and in this case I was very happy.

Have a lovely day everyone! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

The first weekend off work is finally here and it couldn't come soon enough! Don't you just hate that post-holiday return to work where you're still in the lazy holiday mode and really don't want to do anything? I do so weekend is something I really enjoy :) Today I won't be doing nails. I will be taking a day off to edit pictures and maybe write a post for tomorrow but that's it. Bring on the laziness!

Today's nail design was an experiment where I didn't really know how it's going to end up and whether I'll even like it. I wanted to to do something with the Color Club Made in New York collection full of iridescent toppers and also with triangle glitters I got from The Sparkly Shop! This is what I came up with:

Mosaic Nails with Color Club & The Sparkly Shop!

I have used Color Club* Night At The Met as a base colour. I've also used Color Club Bright Lights Big City, Concrete Jungle, Lady Liberty and Million Dollar Listing for the iridescent parts. Then I've outlined parts of the design with white lines (white acrylic paint) and added the triangle glitter. The glitters have holographic finish so they really stand up. Once they were stuck to the nail I've outlined them with white acrylic paint and sealed the design with top coat.

Color Club Made In New York is available here and you can shop all the different litters and nail charms in The Sparkly Shop! here. I have a special discount just for my readers for 15% discount, just use code LUCY15 when shopping at The Sparkly Shop!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and hopefully see you tomorrow! Lucie x
