Hello lovelies,

You might have noticed that I haven't posted yesterday. That's because I wanted all of you to read my previous post Re: MissJenFabulous aka The Nail Art Thief post. It's an important issue that is shaking the nail community and you, readers need to know who you're following.

On the other hand, today's post is quite cheery I would say. I wanted to create a skittle manicure that would be kind of a tribute to the beautiful skittle manicures that Sammy aka The Nailasaurus does. Sammy had an amazing year (rightfully) and she is a great inspiration! I also had the privilege to meet her in person and she's a very lovely person.

I have done a skittle manicure combining her Nimbus design, polka dot, glitter, studded and stamped nail. Of course the manicure would look so much better on Sammy's short nails but eh, what can I do?

For this manicure I have used Barry M Crush (reviewed here) as a base colour, MoYou Festive Collection 03 stamping plate and OPI Alpine Snow for polka dots. I've also used A England Excalibur in the Nimbus design. The glitter nail is OPI Crown Me Already! and the triangle stud is from Born Pretty Store. You can use 10% discount LUHH10 on your whole order when you shop there.

Well I hope you liked it and I hope Sammy will too, she doesn't know I'm doing this post ;)

Love, Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

sorry for the blogging break. I still felt poorly and had no energy to write blog posts. I feel a bit better now so that means a new post!

This is the second post with some New Year's Eve party inspiration (check out the first post here). This time I got here a gorgeous dress and matching nails! I think it's always a great idea to match your nails to your dress. The dress that inspired me is a Lipsy party dress from Zalando.co.uk

Nail Design for New Years Eve Party: Match your nails & dress!

So when it comes to dress & nails inspiration, anything can be matched and translated to nail art and I love it! I fell in love with this dress the second I saw it and I wanted to recreate it.

For this nail design I have used:

OPI Alpine Snow
OPI Keeping Suzi At Bay
A England Merlin
Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat
Glisten & Glow Stick on Blu! base coat

So what do you think? Would you match your nails to your dress?
