Showing posts with label lavender

Hello lovelies,

Hope you're all well and not too depressed that it's only Tuesday ;) I've prepared just a simple swatch post for today but I like the pictures very much so I hope you will too. Plus I need to start feature more polishes that I didn't get for review and are laying here and waiting for me to get to them. Some poor little beauties have been waiting more than two years to be swatched and I just don't have the time...it makes me really sad :(

CND Lilac Longing is a lavender creme shade that has very good formula. I didn't have any problems whatsoever with application and I also enjoyed the high pigmentation. I've applied two thin coats which dried quite fast. I still applied topcoat to finish it off.

The brush is thicker than China Glaze brush but not as thick as OPI. It was easy to work with so no complaints there either.

I was very pleased with this polish and I also got a feedback from a friend who is using CND Cream Puff (white creme) for stamping and she said it works great.

It is not quite easy to get your mitts on CND polishes, I've found few sources for you. You can purchase them in some of your local salons, search for them at www.lovecnd.com (UK). If you're a nail tech you can purchased from Sweet Squared (UK).

Another resources I found are Nail Polish Direct (UK), Nail Republic (UK)  Nail Polish Canada (CAN), Nail Supplies (US).

Have a lovely day!

Love, Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

I can finally show you the A England Ballerina collection that Adina kindly sent me for review. There weren't many sunny days so it took me a while to swatch these beauties. You're in for a real treat though!

The Ballerina collection is inspired by beautiful prima ballerina and Dame, Margot Fonteyn and her dance partner Rudolf Nureyev and consists of four elegant holographic shades.

Fonteyn - silver holographic with lavender undertones. Fonteyn is a beautiful subtle holo polish that might look like silver at first glance but more you look at it the more lavender undertones you'll see. It was the first shade I reached for and tried because it somehow grabbed my attention. It looks gorgeous and all I could think of is winter wonderland.

Dancing with Nureyev - blue holographic with purple undertones. This is another wintery shade that just begged me to paint some icicles on them (and I did ;). The shade is blue but leaning towards cool-tones purple. However it transforms into dusty blue full of rainbow sparkles in the direct sunlight. Magical!

Encore Margot - frosty silver holographic shade. This is a classic silver holo slightly leaning towards blue undertones. It is not strong 'in your face Nfu Oh' holo effect but subtle and soft.

Her Rose Adagio - beige holographic with rose pink undertones. If you love office-friendly shades with some hidden effect, this one is a winner! It looks elegant and subtle under artificial light but once you get out of your office into the sunlight you'll want to stare at your nails forever! The holographic effect really makes this polish stand out.

Now to the formula - it didn't disappoint my high expectations. It applied easy like butter and the finish was smooth and streak-free. I didn't even have to worry about the drying time as they dried fast and glossy. I have applied top coat over all swatches but it didn't make that much difference.

I'm loving this collection and you can expect some nail art over them coming your way soon!

If you'd like to get your hands on these, you can purchase them at A England website and HERE is the list of e-shops around the world that sell them too.

Have a lovely day!

Love, Lucie x
