Hello lovelies,
So the flakie craze is in full swing and you might be wondering which flakie polishes to get. I've noticed that some indie brands started to come out with flakie mixes which got me thinking. If you buy a pre-made flakie mix then you're stuck with it but what if you buy some of the one-colour flakie polishes like the ILNP and then you layer them creating your own colour combination? I've done just that and I've created a guide so you will know exactly how the two or three colours layered over each other will look.
Given there is 13 shades and they can be layered over any nail polish colour( which will create a whole new look) I couldn't possibly create all possible combinations. But I have created quite a massive sample over black and white polish and swatches on paper.
So let's have a look what we'll be working with:
As you can see, I have swatched the single colours on paper as well so you can see how they look on paper by themselves and in bottles. If you would like to see them on nails you can read the full reviews - part 1 & part 2.
The following section shows combinations of two flakie polishes on nails over black or white polish and few with matte finish (which always look stunning too!). Some pictures seem to have slighly lower quality but if you righ-click on the picture and select View Image it shows it full screen in great quality.
This next section shows more combinations of two flakie polishes swatched on paper which looks very similar as if they were applied over white nail polish. There are some stunning combinations!
This last section has a set of swatches on paper that have three different flakies polishes layered:
Phew, that was A LOT of work! I hope it will help you perhaps make a decision about which colours to pick and what to do with them. It also shows that there is so many possibilities and so much potential in this collection and flakies overall. I've done this guide because I'm genuinely in love with this collection and I want to show you what you can do with it, in no way I am compensated for this guide.
I personally love so many combinations, especially the colourful ones. And again, here are
.
I hope you've enjoyed this guide and please help me spread the word, share it so more people see the beautiful possibilities! Thank you. Lucie x
