Hello lovelies,

It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been extremely busy so didn't have time to write any blog posts and unfortunately I can't 'outsource' any work!

Today's post screams spring and it's a simple stamping nail art over previously reviewed Barry M Kiss Me Quick and Eat My Dust from the new Speedy Quick Dry collection. I have used B. Loves Plates Geometry Is Perfect plate and Creative Stamper to stamp the cool triangle pattern. The I just added some metallic studs from Light In The Box and sealed the manicure with Barry M Plumpy topcoat. The rings I'm wearing are from Astrid & Miyu.

I really enjoy making these special photos for you so I hope you'll like them! Unfortunately I can't make them all the time since I mostly have time for nails in the evening :( I'll do my best though!

You all have a lovely day! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

I have a new nail polish collection hot off the press for you! Models Own is coming out with yet another collection called Icing! It features five creme pastel shades in limited edition frosted glass bottles and the regular thin brush.

"Indulge yourself with a sweet treat with the new ICING Collection from Models Own! The perfect palette cleanser after winter, the five new pretty pastel shades effortlessly transport you straight into spring. Coat nails in a wash of seasonal colour, keeping your look classic by pairing with neutrals, or have some fun experimenting with pastels! Contrast with bold colours and patterns; add a girlie twist to an edgy outfit; or mix and match the complimentary shades to create your own unique manicure. The easy application, long lasting formula provides an even, smooth, glossy finish."

Here's the deal - I wanted to share this collection with you but at the moment I have almost no free time so I had to do skittle swatches otherwise I would never get to doing full swatches for you. I hope it will still give you some idea of the colours.

They all have almost the same formula that applied easily but was a bit runny and watery. That's where the thin brush comes in very handy because it makes it easier to control where the polish is applied. I needed three coats for each polish except for the Lilac Icing. Lilac Icing had a bit better pigmentation than the rest. They all dried smooth, glossy and fast. I've applied topcoat as well. For some reason I have expected them to have matte finish which I would have absolutely loved.

In the next part of this post I'll show you the skittle manicure with stamping over it.

I wanted to stick with Models Own polishes so I've used Chrome Gold from the Colour Chrome Collection to stamp with. I've also used Über Chic stamping plate 2-01 with stars and chevrons, Creative stamper and G&G HK Girl topcoat.

Pastels are very safe collection for spring and I'm sure we'll see some more from other brands as well. I like the shades but I was a bit disappointed that they weren't fully opaque in two coats. I also like the frosted glass bottles, it's a nice change from the ordinary bottle.

Models Own Icing polishes will retail for £4.99 each at www.modelsownit.com from 6th March, in Models Own UK Bottleshops from 7th March and in Superdrug stores nationwide from 11th March.

Have a lovely day! Lucie x
