Hello lovelies,

Hope you're all well! I want to show you another products from Tip Top brand from South Africa. The products are two duos - one with glitter, another one with beads.

Steel My Heart - steel grey metallic nail polish with a matching glitter. The combination of both looks very pretty and elegant and there's many more possibilities of what can be done with them. I went for two glitter accent nails and later on added some chic leopard print.

The formula of the polish was slightly on the weak side as the pigmentation wasn't that good. I've applied two thicker coats. I had to be careful with the application too, the finish is slightly streaky. The drying time was average and the removal of the polish was easy. The glitter removal was more difficult but not as hard as glitter nail polish.

Love on the Rocks - hot neon pink polish with hot pink beads. I've had some good fun with this duo :) The pink nail polish is very bright and neon and the formula is good. I've applied two coats which were enough for good coverage. The drying time was average and removal easy.

The first picture shows the nail polish by itself and the rest it nail art with the beads. I've tried to change the colour of the picture a bit so it reflects the real shade but as you know, neons are hard to capture :)

The bottles are the classic duo bottles that companies use for this type of product. it doesn't state how many ml each bottle has. The sticker with product information overlaps both glass ends and ensures that the polish hasn't been used when you buy it. In the other side when you want to actually use it you need to make a cut in the stickers or remove them completely and lose the info. The nail polish brushes are good to work with, they are average thickness (not thick like OPI but not too thin either).

I like the versatility of these two duos but I'd personally like to see slightly better pigmentation of the nail polishes. I know Tip Top can do it as the regular nail polishes I've tried re well-pigmented. Check out previously reviewed Tip Top nail polish Oh La La here. Right now Tip Top brand is sold in South Africa only but they are looking at the possibility to go international.

Hello lovelies,

By now, you've all heard about the new Barry M Nail Art Pens and I haven't missed them either! I've ran into my local Superdrug store and picked up Black, Silver and White Nail Art Pens. I wasn't excited about the pink one very much so I skipped that one..

This manicure is simple and with the Nail Art Pen quite easy to do. I've applied two coats of Nicole By OPI Still Into Pink and when it was dry enough I started drawing. So let's have a look what I've done with it...

The Nail Art Pen is like a shorter highlighter pen and feels sturdy. The nib has small holes on the outside of it and the paint flows from there. When I've used it for the first time, I'd had to press on the nib quite a few times until the paint was pumped out. I'm saying paint because it is not nail polish as we know it. It is more watery so it flows easily and it cracks when it's dry. That was my only problem with it really. You can see the cracking in the first pictures without topcoat. Once you apply topcoat the cracks are not that visible.

Before you start painting you need to make sure the polish is dry enough otherwise you might ruin it. I've tried applying topcoat to make the drying time shorter but the paint does not adhere to the topcoat very well. It slips and tends to shrink (tested over Seche Vite).

Overall, I'm loving it even though the black could be a bit more pigmented (sometimes I've had to dab more colour or go over twice). It is easy to work with and with a bit of practice you could paint quite thin lines. I will be definitely repurchasing if I use up this one and I truly hope Barry M will bring more shades and they will all be a permanent line. Stay tuned for more shades!

You can purchase Barry M Nail Art Pens at Superdrug stores/online for £4.99 each (there's currently 3 for 2 offer). Alternatively, they are available at barrym.co.uk
