Hello lovelies,

Hope you're enjoying  the weekend and that it's warmer than in Britain (it's f-f-f-freezing!) I'm in the 'swatching mode' and there's a lot you can look forward to. I have Mohda polishes to come, new shades from 2True and a completely new nailart technique I've never done before! But first Pixi polish...

This is the first time I've tried this brand. I have mixed feelings about the bottle shape - I like how it looks but dislike how easily it can be tipped over. The brush is thin but I found it easy to work with (see the last photo). The bottle has 7ml which is not much for the money you pay.

Evening Emerald is a dark almost blackened blue green. It leans more towards the blue shades. It has a really nice formula. It applied really smoothly and the polish levelled itsefl out nicely but I've had to use thicker coats to avoid patching. The polish was almost one-coater in a thick coat but in the end I've had to use second coat. I didn't apply topcoat and as you can see in the last picture it dried slightly grainy but not the rough grainy.

Final verdict: Good polish and lovely shade but a bit on the expensive side with the small bottle.

Hello lovelies,

Today I have here another patterned nails with tutorial - the Jonqal pattern. After the basket weave I kinda fell in love with these and you can look forward to more designs like this. I hope you'll like them! Don't worry I will do different techniques as well and of course swatches too.

So for this manicure I have used Pixi Evening Emerald, white acrylic paint and Seche Vite Fast Drying topcoat. You could do it with nail polish instead of the acrylic paint but I find it easier to work with. And of course dark colour over light would be probably more opaque.

What do you think? Do you like patterns on nails?
