Hello lovelies,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  We made into 2013 despite all the talk about the end of the World :D I hope 2013 will be an amazing year for all of us and because Lucy's Stash will be turning 3 soon, I have another big giveaway planned!

I've been lucky to be able to try another indie brand - Pibble Polish. I'll show you two shades today so hope you'll like them. Little bit about Krys behind Pibble Polish:

"I'd always really enjoyed nail polish - to the point where I kept a whole collection of it since I was a teenager despite being really bad about biting my nails. Around the time the whole indie nail polish business was getting big, I figured out that if I kept my nails painted I could quit biting them AND use my beloved polishes. I started itching to try my hand at nail polish creation, because it was a perfect way to combine my perfectionism & love of color, texture, and visual interest. I've been pretty happily mad scientist-ing it up since!

As far as the rescue dog aspect, Moo came into my life about a year ago. She has a pretty sad background of the neglect and abuse that's tragically not uncommon for pit bulls. Despite that, she loves every person she meets & treats it as a chance to make a new best friend. She's never happier than when she's wiggling her away around strangers & being fussed over (well, maybe except when she gets raw meat, lol). She's such a wonderful friend and an amazing dog & I wanted to share her with the world."

Deadly Nightshade - grape purple shimmer with copper particles. The colour looked slightly duochrome in some angles which makes it really interesting for me. It's such a gorgeous shade and I was surprised how good the formula was as well. It applied easily despite slightly thicker formula. I'm wearing two coats and they were enough for a full coverage. Polish dried quite fast and removal was easy.

Knocking Down The Christmas Tree - olive green shimmer with green, blue, copper and gold particles. It also has good formula, it applied very nicely and it is well pigmented. I have applied two coats for a full coverage. It dried slightly slower than the Deadly nightshade.

Judging from these two polishes I have tried so far I quite like the Pibble Polish brand and the quality. I was actually surprised how good they are since the polishes are not glitter bombs. It is much harder to get a good formula for colour polishes if you know what I mean. You can buy Pibble Polish colours at Krys's Etsy shop

Hello lovelies,

I got a chance to try three out of six available shades from the new Chnia Glaze Tranzitions collection. A little bit more about the collection:

China Glaze® Tranzitions’ revolutionary new nail lacquer reacts when a clear top coat is applied, changing the color from one shade to another for a stunning effect.

So let's have a look at the polishes I've got:

Lucy's Stash - China Glaze® Tranzitions

Metallic Metamorphosis - grey shimmer before topcoat, blue-grey with topcoat. Its pigmentation is excellent, only one-coater and it dries fast. I have applied a stripe of topcoat to the middle of the nail but the difference is not very visible so no elaborate designs. I was quite disappointed with this polish.

Modify Me - sky blue with shimmer changing into darker blue. It applies easily and it's a one-coater but it is slightly streaky. It dries fast and removal is very easy. The contrast between topcoated area is good so I've done two designs with Modify Me.

Split Perso-nail-ity - lavender pink shimmer shade that changes into darker shade. It has a subtle silver shimmer. As the two shades above, this one is also one-coater. I like this one the most as the colour is not streaky, dries fast and the difference between colours is very good. The removal was super easy.

I don't know what to think about this collection. On one hand I like the idea of playing with topcoat to create different coloured areas but on the other hand topcoat is difficult to work with as it dried very fast and got gloopy. Also the manicure doesn't last as long because the whole nail is not topcoated.

I like that all of the polishes are opaque in one coat and that they dry fast. I think I might play around with them again.

The Tranzitions collection is available from January 2013 in the usual outlets.
