Hello lovelies,
A England has a brand new addition to the Heavenly Quotes collection - The Blessed Damozel. Adina kindly sent me a bottle to try and I'm pleased to say that the pictures came out nicely ;)
The Blessed Damozel is inspired by the vision in a poem by Dante Gabriel Rossetti; the verses read:
"The blessed damozel leaned out
From the gold bar of Heaven;
Her eyes were deeper than the depth
Of waters stilled at even;
She had three lilies in her hand,
And the stars in her hair were seven."
deep eggplant purple with subtle shimmer yet it doesn't look like black in low light. The purple is blue-based and vampy yet it still looks feminine. I must commend Adina on the formula, it's like butter - it flows on so smoothly and easily, truly a joy to work with! It was almost fully opaque in one coat but it was perfect in two. It dried fast and smooth but it wasn't spectacularly glossy so I applied topcoat (as I would anyway for a manicure).
EDIT: I forgot to say that the colour is a little bit warmer than in the pictures, little bit closer to the flowers. As always, my camera made it look almost blue.
This truly is another great creation, colour and formula-wise and I'm grateful I could wear it on my nails. And trust me, I don't say this lightly. If you would like your own bottle you can purchase it directly at A England website or from one of the international distributors.
Hope you've enjoyed the post and I hope to see you soon! Lucie x
