Hi everyone,

When I've previously done manicures with dry brush technique (here and here), I've had several people asking me what the dry brush technique is...so I've decided to do a tutorial for you!

As in the video, I'd like to point out that I've seen this technique at Chalkboard Nails first. Sarah called it Distressed Nailart but it somehow developed into a general term 'dry brush' technique.

For this particular manicure I have used Graffiti Nails polishes in Mellow, Pistachio and Jet. The Studs are from THIS neon stud wheel from Born Pretty store (use LUHH10 for 10% discount when shopping there).

Here's the promised tutorial for the dry brush technique:

I love how easy this technique is and that you don't need any nail art tools! I hope you've enjoyed the manicure and the tutorial and I'll be looking forward to reading your thoughts in the comments! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

It's the last day of the month and that means Nailvengers Assemble Challenge! Joining me in the challenge will be Sammy (The Nailasaurus), Alice (One Nail To Rule Them All), Allie (Brit Nails) and Amelia (xAmeliax).

This month's theme is Floral Nail Art and I will be doing watercolour effect poppies using acrylic paint. Let's check out the manicure...

As you can see some of the pictures are with matte finish which is before topcoat. However topcoating the design brought it to life beautifully. I chose OPI My Vampire Is Buff as a base colour because I wanted to create a vintage look & feel. I absolutely adored the result so I'm very excited to show you a tutorial for these nails as well!

Here's how I've created this nail art and hope it will help you create yours ;)

So what do you think? ;)

If you recreate any of our manicures then please use #nailvengers and for my poppies also #lucysstash, we would love to see! You can also follow us on Facebook:
