Hello lovelies,

I'm doing a book review for the first time ever. I have accepted an offer to review The WAH Nails Book Of Downtown Girls because...well it's about nails. And I was also very curious because I follow the work of WAH girls on Instagram and Tumblr. and they are very talented. This book is work of Sharmadean Reid, founder of London's hip WAH Nails salon.

The WAH Nails Book Of Downtown Girls | Review & Nail Art Design

The WAH Nails Book Of Downtown Girls comes in sturdy hardback and it's very colourful on every page. It features 25 nail art tutorials, nail tips & tricks, interviews with some very inspirational women and much more! I didn't know what to expect at first but once I started to read I was done in two days :) It doesn't have heaps of text so it's not like a novel but it is rather done in short articles and interviews on different topics mixed with illustrated pages with nail art tutorials.

On top of all the nail stuff and inspirational nail artists and entrepreneurs, you will find some hair & beauty tips, tips on blogging or on creating your own nail polish line. This book is full of creative stuff and covers many different topics so it's not just about nails.

I don't want to give too much away so I'm not going to take pictures from inside of the book but you can find some in other reviews (eg. Brit Nails or Naturally BMarie).

A while ago I've created this manicure following some of the tutorials in this book and I think they turned out really well. There is plenty more awesome tutorials and I'll be sure to do more in the future. Read full review of these nails in this post.

Admittedly, it took me a while to write this review because I've had this book since the mid October. I found myself coming back and browse the book many times after I've read it all, making notes and compiling what to share with you. I didn't want to give too much away so you would still find new things in the book you didn't know about. I love how colourful it is and it just breathes creativity. If you want something to inspire you, give you motivation to start making a living in the nail industry or simply want to learn new nail art, this book just might be something that you'll enjoy very much.

The WAH Nails Book Of Downtown Girls is available to buy on the WAH website and on Amazon. You can also follow WAH Nails and their nail art work on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr.
