Hello lovelies,

Today's nail art is inspired by a fabric pattern I've seen in my local shop. I instantly wanted to recreate it on my nails! I just love how anything can be an inspiration :)

I have used piCture pOlish Bomb Shell as a base colour and Heavy Metal for the accent fingers. I've painted the pattern using Nails Supreme nail art pens.

I've been trying to use the pens regularly these days but I still need a lot of practice. I still find brushes to be much easier to work with than the nail art pens...

I hope you like it!

Maybe you don't know it but Sophie aka The Illustrated Nail uses Nails Supreme nail art pens all the time. Of course I had to try them too :D I must say they have thinner tip than the cheapest ones from China I've used before. They are available here (just under £20).

piCture pOlish is available at their website or at many international e-shops.

Hello lovelies,

Today's polish is 'DA BOMB'! It's the new collaboration of Cirque and Jeannie Vianney:

"New York, NY (September 25, 2013) – Inspired by the resurgence of rose gold in the fashion world, award-winning jewelry designer, Jeannie Vianney, and popular indie nail brand, Cirque, have teamed up to create a special edition ring and nail polish duo.  This eye-catching set exudes luxury and royalty by combining common monarchy symbols through shape and color."

The polish came in a small black box with custom label. Inside was the Croronation shade nicely packed in a black satin pouch.

Each bottle of polish comes with a very cute crown ring:

"True to Jeannie Vianney’s signature style, the rose gold-plated ring is modeled from a piece of lace cast into metal to form a crown shape. The delicate texture lends an air of elegance while the adjustable design accommodates most sizes. To complement the blush hue, Cirque designed a royal purple nail lacquer complete with multidimensional shimmer. The formula features a translucent finish that allows the copper sparkle to peek through while being buildable in 2-3 coats.

The pictures below show the Coronation in direct sunlight which shows the true beauty of this polish..

The colour is beautiful blue-based purple jelly full of warm purple shimmer and gold-copper glitter. The purple shimmer shifts into green and gold shades in certain angles. I've applied two thicker coats which in artificial light looked opaque but as you'll see, third coat was needed. I aplso recommend to layer Coronation over black, blue, purple or red, it will completely transform the polish and you'll only need one coat. It dried quite fast but the glitter caused slightly gritty finish so I would recommend two coats of topcoat or one layer of thick topcoat like Seche Vite.

Ok I love this polish! It is very close to the Max Factor Fantasy Fire except it has that sparkly copper glitter in it. It's very pretty and I'll be putting it in my 'treasures' drawer :) Also the ring is beautiful and you'll probably see it again in the future.

There are just two things that might deter some people from buying - the sheerness of the polish (which on the other hand makes it good for layering) and the price. This set of polish and gold-plated ring is sold for $48. Available now at: http://www.jeannievianney.com or http://www.cirquecolors.com . This set is currently sold out but you can add your name to the list and once it's available withing next few weeks, you'll be able to purchase it.
