Racy Lacy Nails | Black Stamped Lace Nail Art & Barry M Do It Like A Nude Review
Hello lovelies,
For today I've prepared a double-post: Nail art manicure & a nail polish review! I've received the new Barry M Sunset collection for review and my first pick was Do It Like A Nude. I couldn't resist pairing it with a sexy black lace stamping!
I've purchased the DRK Enlaced stamping plate at the end of last year and I LOVE the various lace patterns on it! I finally managed to use it and it came out really well (at least I think it did!). Parts of the pattern are really delicate and didn't stamp properly but that could be because I've used Konad black stamping polish that dries extremely fast.
Little bit about the Sunset collection: "High shine, long lasting PRO gel nail without the lamp - new 2 step gel manicure that needs no UV light. Sunset Nail Paint and Topcoat cures in natural daylight, delivering the look of pro salon gels. Nails will last for up to 10 days." You'll need to use the Sunset topcoat with the Sunset polishes for this system to work properly.
Barry M Do It Like A Nude* - Marshmallow white with pinky-peach undertones. This was the first polish from this collection I've tried because it looked very elegant and 'squishy' in the bottle. I'm wearing two thicker coats but I found the polish to be still a bit sheer so you might want to add third coat (especially if you have longer nails). It applied well and the formula dried fast and glossy. I've used the Sunset Topcoat and firstly stuck my hand outside into direct sun. It looked like it did harden more but it wasn't as hard as gell polish. Then I stuck my hand into UV lamp which seemed to work even better. If you have a lamp - use it. If you don't, use sun or I've read that some regular indoor lamps will work as well.
The Superdrug and Boots for £4.99 each unless on offer.
So what do you think of my lacy racy nails? ;) I'm considering doing them again but with white lace just to see how it will look as bridal nails. That's all from me now, just a last little secret I want to share with you - I've finished my bridal bouquet and I've filmed the whole process and will do a tutorial! However I have hours upon hours of footage so I'll probably be able to edit it all after the wedding so expect it in September.
Have a lovely day! Lucie x
