Guest Post: Flamingo Nail Art from Lexa aka Glitterfingersss
Hello lovelies,
It is my pleasure to have a truly amazing nail artist here today - Lexa aka Glitterfingersss! I've been following her work for a long time and I'm always amazed at her nail art ideas and of course skills! Lexa is a super talented nail artist and swatcher with just about the perfect nails. I suspect you all already know her ;)
Hello everyone! My name is Lexa, I'm behind the blog called Glitterfingersss. Lucie was kind enough to ask me to guest posting on her beautiful blog, and I feel so honored to be here, thank you so much Lucie for this great opportunity! Lucie was one of the first nail girls that I started to follow back in 2011 when I discovered this whole amazing world of nail polish and nail art. I'm hooked ever since, and today I will share my passion with you!
I do a lot of swatching, but my real obsession is nail art, the freehand kind ;) Although I really like minimalistic nail art, I always find myself creating detailed patterns, those are the ones that make me really excited. I thought I will paint something really summery for today, and when it comes to summery patterns, all I can think of is tropical. To be honest, I could paint tropical all year long :D
For the flamingo pattern I was inspired by NataliaKo on shutterstock.com. I used 2 coats of Essence Wild White Ways as my white base, then I painted on the wavy pattern with acrylic paint. I'm not good at painting waves, so as you can see they are a bit wonky :D, but the overall look is all right I guess. After the waves I painted on the tiny flamingos too, also with acrylic paint. As my accent nail I've chosen a coraly red nail polish that matches to the color of the flamingos: Seche Coral. Then I painted on the palm leaves with acrylic paint. I've finished off with Essie Matte About You matte topcoat.
I really like how it turned out, even with those crazy waves :D I hope you like it too, and for more nail art feel free to stop by at my blog or my Instagram account. Thank you so much again Lucie for having me here today!
How crazy amazing are Lexa's nail art skills?! I absolutely adore this manicure, thank you so much, Lexa for guest posting for me! If you don't already, you really need to follow Lexa, she's created so many amazing manicures already and I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll create next.
Have a lovely day everyone! Lucie x
