Showing posts with label creme

Hello lovelies,

Sorry for taking blogging break during the weekend, I needed to catch up on swatching and relax a bit. The good news is I got a lot done, the bad news is I didn't manage to write any new posts so I'm now behind in writing...the struggles of a nail blogger :D

Today I want to share a swatch of Barry M Gelly in Pomegranate which is gorgeous raspberry red colour with glossy finish. I don't think I have reviewed Barry M Gelly before but I do like them very much and I plan to buy some more.

Believe it or not, this is just one coat of Pomegranate and topcoat. It chipped after a day and a half so next time I think I'll apply two coats but my point was - it is well pigmented and one coat was nicely opaque :) The formula was easy to work with and it dried very glossy. I know that it is not necessary because we're all using topcoat anyway but it is nice to see glossy finish. The pictures with flowers were taken outside with my phone, the rest is in the lightbox. The lightbox pictures are more colour-accurate.

Barry M polishes are available at Superdrug, Boots and barrym.com. I'm listing drugstores first because very often they have offers like 3 for 2 ;) As for international sales, I'm not sure Barry M is available outside UK but feel free to correct me.

Have a nice day everyone! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

It's finally Friday!!! I'm so looking forward to the weekend and some time to do swatching and nail art. I also hope to finish editing another video tutorial so stay tuned for that ;)

Today I want to show you a beautiful vibrant red coral polish from Rococo Nail Apparel. The shade is called Hip-Hop and has creme finish. The formula was really good - easy to apply and well-pigmented. One coat could be enough for short nails but I applied two coats for perfect coverage. The polish dried fast and glossy, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

I have also used Rococo Nail Apparel Superbase Treatment Basecoat and Supergloss Topcoat with this polish.

Superbase Treatment Basecoat is milky white in the bottle but dries almost clear. It is a bit thicker and dries longer than regular clear base coats and for me it worked quite well as ridge filler.

Supergloss Topcoat was surprisingly very good. I say surprisingly because I didn't expect it to perform as well - the formula is thin and easy to apply and it dries fast. I only disliked the smell which is quite unconventional and honestly I can't describe it.

Rococo Nail Apparel polishes are available at Lookfantastic, SpaceNK and Feelunique. I bought the ring in Primark.

Hope you'll have a lovely weekend and don't forget to stop by for a nail art post and a very special surprise you won't want to miss!

Lucie x
