Zoya Designer Collection for Fall 2012! Review and swatches
Hello lovelies,
It took me ages to edit the whole Zoya Fall collection but it's done now. I've previously reviewed the Zoya Gloss collection here. Now I proudly present you Zoya Designer Collection for Fall 2012!
Evvie - Evergreen green creme (Peter Som custom shade). This is a very 'Fall' shade, cool-toned green leaning to grey. The pigmentation was really good, one coat was enough for full coverage but I've had some ridges in my nails so I've applied second coat to cover them ;) Dries fast and applies flawlessly.
Monica - dark mulberry purple creme. Zoya describes this shade as mulberry but I'd say it's more like grape purple? The pigmentation is very good again, almost one-coater but I'm wearing two for perfect coverage.
Natty - smoked navy blue creme. Very interesting shade of blue which is unique to my nail polish stash. It's kind of a muted medium blue with great formula. I'm wearing one(!) coat and topcoat and the colour coverage is fabulous! It applied smoothly and dried fast.
Noot - charcoal green gray creme. This is very dark greyish-green which is similar to Evvie but darker. I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over again but this shade has as well exceptional pigmentation. I'm wearing one coat and no topcoat.
Rekha - Blood red cream (Bibhu Mohapatra custom shade). Ehm I don't think the Zoya's description is correct in this case. Blood red creme is much darker. This red is closer to classic red shade, maybe strawberry red. Anyway it doesn't really matter because this red rocks! It's my favourite from the Designer collection. It's a one-coater but I've applied two coats again to hide the ridges on my nail (in 98% I apply 2 coats). Flawless application and fast drying time.
Toni - dark maroon red creme. Another shade description I don't entirely agree with. I see purple. Red based purple. The formula was very good again, it applied very easily. This shade is almost one-coater but I'm wearing two coats for perfect coverage.
To sum up, this first half of the Zoya collection for Fall 2012 is really good. Every single polish has great formula, many of them are one-coaters, others then two-coaters. All applied easily and finish was smooth, they also dried fast. If you like the shades then you won't be disappointed.
I can't wait to show you the last part of the Zoya Fall collection - Diva which is full of gems!
