Hello lovelies,

It's finally a weekend again and I've set myself to catch up on some swatching, editing more video tutorials I made (yay to fulfilling my blog resolutions!) and writing some blog posts for the next few days. Phew, that's a lot of work just for two days!

Today I want to show you two Ruby Wings polishes that are UV sensitive and change colour once you go outside. The first one is Electric Firefly, a crazy bright yellow neon colour that changes into bright orange. The polish has a very subtle shimmer particles so it's not a flat out creme. I've applied two coat which went on nicely and I've also added topcoat. When I was testing the colour change I stepped into direct sunlight and the colour changed quite fast. It took a longer for the colour to go back to the neon yellow once I went back inside though. Overall it's a great polish for summer so I'll be sure to experiment a bit more with it.

The second polish I got here is called Doux and it is sheer pink duochrome glass flecks shifting to purple, blue and green shades. I've applied one coat over A England Camelot (black creme) because the polish is very sheer and I would need at least three thick coats for some reasonable coverage. I suspect the polish meant for layering anyway...

It applied well but it was a bit gritty because of the glass flecks. i needed thicker topcoat to smooth the nails out. As to the colour change - it is not as dramatic as with Electric Firefly. Doux changed from pinkish to blue-based purple but it wasn't very visible on the nails so look at the change in the bottle.

Hello lovelies,

I FINALLY managed to edit video tutorial for today's nail art and narrated it as well ;) So what am I painting today? Icicles! It's still Winter and I think the real snowy Winter weather is still to come so I'm mentally preparing myself for it. But I secretly love the beautiful creations Winter shows us in the form of snowy landscapes, snowflakes and of course icicles. These remind me of some magical Winter Wonderland :)

I have used beautiful  A England Dancing With Nureyev as a base colour, white and blue acrylic paint and Seche Vite top coat. I painted the icicles using small detailing brushes only. Have a look at the video tutorial. In the end I have added some freehand snowflakes on the ring finger.

If you recreate it please use #lucysstash so I can check your manicure out ;)

I hope you've enjoyed the design and the video tutorial. Let me know what you think about it because I'm still searching for my video style. Do you like the intro and outro or is it not necessary?

Have a nice day lovelies! xoxo
