Hello lovelies,

Today I have a stamped metallic nails for you and a cute silver bracelet to complement it. I have been playing with the Models Own Colour Chrome collection and this is one of my experiments.

This look is very easy to achieve, here's a step-by-step:

1. Paint the nails with two coats of Models Own Chrome Gold
2. Paint latex around nails to avoid lengthy clean up or use sticky tape if you don't have latex. I have used Simply Peel latex barrier
3. Using make up sponge, sponge on Models Own Chrome Silver. You can either sponge just silver or you can paint stripes of gold and silver on the sponge and sponge them on the whole nail together. The second method get more blended look
4. Stamping - using MoYou London Fashionista plate 12 and white stamping polish, stamp on your chosen pattern
5. Remove the latex barrier
6. Do any additional clean up with brush and acetone
7. Apply topcoat on all nails

Interesting piece, isn't it? I've discovered Edblad jewellery only recently when kind people from Chriselli.com offered to send me couple of pieces. I find them very unique and modern and quite strong and durable (definitely not a flimsy cheap piece of metal). I also like the crystals incorporated into the steel, they make it look much girlier ;) This particular bracelet is currently available here for £35. What do you think of this bracelet? I have a new nail polish collection hot off the press for you! Models Own is coming out with yet another collection called Icing! It features five creme pastel shades in limited edition frosted glass bottles and the regular thin brush.

Here's the deal - I wanted to share this collection with you but at the moment I have almost no free time so I had to do skittle swatches otherwise I would never get to doing full swatches for you. I hope it will still give you some idea of the colours.

They all have almost the same formula that applied easily but was a bit runny and watery. That's where the thin brush comes in very handy because it makes it easier to control where the polish is applied. I needed three coats for each polish except for the Lilac Icing. Lilac Icing had a bit better pigmentation than the rest. They all dried smooth, glossy and fast. I've applied topcoat as well. For some reason I have expected them to have matte finish which I would have absolutely loved.

In the next part of this post I'll show you the skittle manicure with stamping over it.

I wanted to stick with Models Own polishes so I've used Chrome Gold from the Colour Chrome Collection to stamp with. I've also used Über Chic stamping plate 2-01 with stars and chevrons, Creative stamper and G&G HK Girl topcoat.

Pastels are very safe collection for spring and I'm sure we'll see some more from other brands as well. I like the shades but I was a bit disappointed that they weren't fully opaque in two coats. I also like the frosted glass bottles, it's a nice change from the ordinary bottle.
