A England Burne-Jones Dream collection - Review and swatches
Hello lovelies,
I thought I'd put together one post where I summarize all the polishes without picture spam. So here they all are, the A England Burne-Jones Dream collection (Briarwood not available yet).
This collection is inspired by 19th century series of paintings by Edward Burne-Jones called The Legend of Briar Rose. The paintings depict moments from a Sleeping Beauty story/fairytale:
Briar Rose (AKA Sleeping Beauty)- red-based purple with scattered holographic particles. I'm lost for words, this is such beautiful colour! It has slight duochrome effect that shows in the shade and thousands of holo particles sparkling in direct sunlight. This is overall my second favourite shade from this collection, I really like it!
The formula was excellent as we're used to with A England brand. It applied very easily and dried smoothly and pigmentation was great. One thicker coat did provide enough coverage but I've applied second coat to add more depth to the colour and to have completely smooth surface. I've finished off with topcoat. Fated prince - charcoal grey base with green undertones full of scattered holographic particles. It's a great shade for those preferring darker colours. The holographic effect is subtle yet still nicely visible in the sun as you'll see in the pictures. The Fated Prince has the sheerest formula of all four shades yet it is still perfectly opaque in two coats. It applied very easily and dried fast and smooth. I've applied Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender on top. For more pictures click here.
Rose Bower - raspberry red base with scattered holographic particles. Yes, it's official, I absolutely love this shade! Adina is magician, she always creates stunning colours but this one is an overall winner for me...and there's me thinking I've seen them all...
The formula was excellent, almost one coater but in the end I needed two coats. It applied very easily without streaks or patches. The drying time was good but I did end up applying Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender topcoat. For more pictures click here.
Sleeping Palace - dusty eggplant purple with scattered holographic particles. What a beauty! The holo effect is subtle yet clearly visible in the sun. I do however like the polish in the shade a lot as well. If paired with topcoat, it has mirror-like shine and the holographic particles look like grey specks embedded in eggplant purple.
The formula was absolutely excellent, I dare to say one of the best I've tried. It is 'one-coater' that applied very easily and it's not streaky or thick. The drying time was good and I've applied Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender on top. For more pictures click here.
These are all epic and beautiful! Formulas were perfect and well-pigmented, I couldn't ask for more! Thank you Adina for creating these AH-MAZING polishes!
