Hello lovelies,

I've just realised that I never shown you proper swatches of the gorgeous new releases for Barry M Silk Collection in darker autumnal colours. There were three new colours added to the Silk Collection and all three have smooth satin finish.

Barry M Silk Collection for A/W 2014 - Poppy, Orchid & Forest - Review & Swatches

Poppy - berry magenta with satin matte finish. Poppy has gorgeous warm colour with very fine sparkle that is muted by the satin finish but comes to life if worn with topcoat. It applied very nicely and is well-pigmented. I've applied two regular coats and no topcoat.

Orchid - rich, blue-based purple with satin matte finish. Orchid is beautifully vivid and stunning purple. The formula was easy to work with and nice to apply and this shade was also well-pigmented and opaque in two coats. The finish wasn't streaky at all and I'm not wearing topcoat.

Forest - blue teal with satin matte finish. I would probably expect Forest to be more green than blue but despite the name the colour itself is very nice teal. It also has this subtle shimmer to it. It applied nicely and two coats were fully opaque. I'm not wearing topcoat.

This range is meant to be worn matte - either without topcoat or topped with matte topcoat to prolong the manicure. BUT they also look stunning with topcoat. These polishes have fine shimmer to it that completely transforms the polish when you add topcoat. I really like how well-pigmented they all are, they will be great for nail art, in fact I've already done one nail art with them here.

Barry M Silk collection and the rest of the range is available at Barry M website, in Boots and Superdrug stores.

Have a lovely day and stay polished! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

Today I want to show you two more Lynnderella polishes I got for review. I have previously reviewed only one single Lynderella polish (here) so I'm excited to show you more! Both are glitter polishes so prepare for some sparkling goodness!

Lynnderella Couture at the Navy Yard and ChelSea of Love - Review & Swatches

First up is Couture at the Navy Yard, a dark blue glitter mixed with dark blue holographic glitter in a lightly blue tinted base. Because the base is only tinted, it is not fully opaque in two coats so I have applied one coat over Zoya Ryan (very similar colour). It applied very nicely and easily and dried fast. It is glitter so it dried slightly gritty so I've applied topcoat as well.

Second polish I've got here is ChelSea of Love, teal glitter bomb. This polish is the same as Couture at the Navy Yard only in teal shades. It has teal holographic glitter and larger teal glitter in a tinted base. I have applied one coat of ChelSea of Love over Essie Trophy Wife. The formula was slightly thicker yet manageable and I didn't have any problems with it. I needed topcoat to get smooth and glossy finish.

I don't think I can choose my favourite, they are both sparkly and beautiful! Couture at the Navy Yard reminds me of a night sky and I'm beating myself up right now that I didn't do some star or galaxy nail art over it. I'm very happy with them despite having to layer them which could be problem for some.

Lynnderella polishes are available at their online store and eBay store. You can also check out the latest colours on their blog.

Have a great day and stay polished! Lucie x
