Hello lovelies,

Today I want to show you a brand that is new to me - Spell Polish. Spell Polish has released collection of 11 duo/multichrome polishes called Magichromes and the polish of the day, Smile Transference is one of them.

Smile Transference is blue-purple that shifts into other purple shades, pinks and if you're looking from few angles, orange. It's a beautiful multichrome that is fully opaque in two thicker coats. It could be layered over black for even deeper colour. It applied well and dried fast and semi-matte. i've applied topcoat for glossy finish. What was little bit strange was the smell. It has quite strong chemical smell, very different from most polishes.

EDIT: I have been assured that this polish has been made with old formula base and that customers will receive polishes that do not have the odd smell.

I have a very soft spot for multichromes so even though I have few similar ones I love it! It's such a pretty colour! I have two more to show you so stay tuned!

Spell Polishes come in this large rectangular bottle, I think it's like the American Apparel polish bottles. I found it a bit hard to hold and take photographs with but on the other hand it is super space-saving.

Spell Polish is 5-free and available at their website for $17 per 15ml bottle.

Hi everyone,

Today's post is dedicated to Emily aka Very Emily. She's going through a very tough time and various nail bloggers have decided to do this 'Hugs for Emily' post to show her support and recreate one of her manicures. When I found out about this I knew I wanted to join and send some positive energy Emily's way. I love her blog and manicures so choosing to recreate just one was really hard.

I'm recreating her entry into this year's Picture Polish Blog fest with few modifications. The design is a chevron manicure (zig-zag design?) using Nail Vinyls so that's what I've used as well...

For this design I have used Cirque Dear Dahlia and Midsummer Night from the Kontiki Collection (reviewed here), Nail Vinyls chevron stickers and Nsi Prims Paints acrylic paint in Little White Lies.

And here is a picture tutorial I've prepared for you:

This is how the design looked mid-step before painting the white nail art...

So that's all from me today. Please send happy thoughts to Emily or visit her blog and leave her some nice comment. Sometimes we all need a little emotional support and I love how the nail community can be a great support! If you would like to see more Hugs for Emily posts, search for #hugsforemily.

Have a good day! Lucie x
