Showing posts with label jelly

Hello lovelies,

How are you all today? It's new collection time! Barry M has recently sent me their Summer 2016 releases and today I'd like to show you the Lolly Gloss Collection. This collection features four new colours in a sheer jelly gloss formula. The polishes are meant to be worn alone or layered over each other or other polishes.

Orange Fizz - bright red orange jelly with orange sweets scent. I've applied four coats which provided quite good coverage but I could still see my nail line a bit. Below also shown coverage of 1-4 coats. No topcoat.

Purple Pop - grape purple jelly with sweet scent with a hint of grape. This is my favourite shade of all, it looked exceptionally well! I've applied four coats which again provided quite good coverage. Below also shown coverage of 1-4 coats. No topcoat.

I thought I won't like this collection at all but after swatching all of the shades I've changed my mind. I really like that each colour has a sweet scent when it dries and they are all super glossy. The formula was easy to apply and thin layers dry relatively quickly but when there are 4 layers built up, it takes much longer and I would recommend using fast drying topcoat.

This collection has the very popular rounded and tapered flat brush that makes it very easy to achieve clean lines and I didn't have to do almost any clean up! So overall, I was pleasantly surprised :)

Barry M Lolly Gloss Collection is available at barrym.com, in Superdrug and Boots stores and their websites. Boots currently has an offe buy 1, get 2nd half price.

Have a lovely weekend! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

I'm stepping away from wedding planning and crafting to write some new post for you! I've been very busy so haven't had much time for new posts but I hope it will get better soon. I've decided to show you two beautiful & 'squishy' polishes today.

Dance Legend have released Enamel Glass collection a while ago which features twelve shades. The formula of these is meant to be jelly-ish and glossy and it does deliver! You can find all 12 shades swatched by talented Anna Gorelova.

First one up is no.1051 - classic red with half-jelly formula and high shine. This polish is stunning and I loved having it on my nails! It has that jelly squishiness to it yet it is opaque in two thicker coats or three thin-regular coats. It applied nicely and dried quite fast and glossy. I've already done a nail art manicure with this shade here.

Second up is no. 1049 - bright tomato red half-jelly with strong orange undertones. This shade is not orange but rather it's more red as you can see. It had the same formula as the previous shade. It applied well and I'm wearing two thicker coats but you can do three regular coats as well. It dried very glossy, I love that finish!

Great polishes and I like the look of the rest of the shades too. What's also cool is that you can mix a drop of polish with drop of topcoat and you can create your own led lighting/tinting polishes without buying all the colours in the Aquarelle collection separately.

These polishes are available at Dance Legend website. Dance Legend is a Russian company so if you can't or don't want to order directly from Russia which can take a while for delivery, you can do so from one of the re-sellers listed on their home page.

Have a nice day! Lucie x
